In a recent  Accounting Today article, “Voices: The importance of sustainability accounting and reporting in assessing a firm: A student’s perspective,” Tracey J. Niemotko, discusses the research findings of Janice Nunziato, a senior accounting major at Mount Saint Mary College.

Ms. Nunziato uses a case study approach to examine the issues associated with sustainability accounting and reporting.

In discussiong her research, Ms. Nunziato observes that, particularly for the “millenial” generation, “sustainability accounting and reporting is an important area for future CPAs to be familiar with because more people, especially younger millennial professionals, want to see the qualitative value that businesses add…”

Ms. Nunziato presented her findings to the Mount Saint Mary College community at a University research event.
